Notes

Every kingdom, country, and community has a distinguishable culture. In the Kingdom of God, love is the culture.

Righteousness is:

  • the quality or state of being morally right/correct or justifiable.
  • innocent, holy just, right alignment or positioning with authority.

Jesus was led by the Spirit

‘When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."’ Matthew 3:16,17
“Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.” Matthew 4:1

Galatians 5:13-25

Jesus walked in Faith

Faith is:

  1. The currency of The Kingdom
  2. The key to please God
  3. Impossible without hope
  4. Authored and finished by Jesus
  5. Expressed through love
  6. The key to confidence

Jesus knew who he was

  1. I Am the Bread of Life
  2. I Am the Light of the World
  3. I Am the door or gate
  4. I Am the Good Shepherd
  5. I Am the resurrection, and the life
  6. I Am the way, the truth, and the life
  7. I Am the true vine

Jesus knew what he was

  • Son of God
  • Son of man
  • Christ Messiah

Jesus knew when his time was

“My time is not yet” John 7:6

“The time is fulfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand. Repent” Mark 1:15

Jesus knew why he was

‘but he said to them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent."’ Luke 4:43

‘Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”’ John 18:37

Jesus walked in humility

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2

“And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.” Philippians 2:8

“And He strictly warned and commanded them to tell this to no one,
saying, “The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.”
Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:21-23

“If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” John 20:23

Sin is separation from God.

Prayer is petition to the government of The Kingdom of God.
