Walk This Way: Bruised Heels

Psalms 37:23-25
Genesis 3:14-15
Proverbs 4:10-15
Psalms 119:105
Psalms 23

The enemy doesn’t want or need to take you out and kill you. He wants to maim you and make you ineffective. Often in making you ineffective, you become accompanied by others. This removes them from their focus and work as well as yourself.

It is more effective for the enemy to prevent you from being able to do your job than just exterminating you.
Sometimes even doing your job prevents you from being effective in the big picture, especially if you are tied up doing your job earlier than expected.

“But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” Ephesians 4:7

You’ve never gotten so far, you are never too old or too experienced, that you don’t need to review and rehearse the basics.

“For he is cast into a net by his own feet, And he walks into a snare. The net takes him by the heel, And a snare lays hold of him. A noose is hidden for him on the ground, And a trap for him in the road.” Job 18:8-10

There is a thing you can do but the enemy can’t. The enemy is unable to walk, even with God. God removed that in the garden. We can walk with God.

“So the LORD God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life.” Genesis 3:14

You are never an army of one.

“Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” Amos 3:3
“Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Do not focus on the enemy. We get so concerned with what the enemy is doing that we ignore our fellow compatriots in God. You are not their accuser, judge, or jury; you are to recognize and offer help when necessary.

You have to know your job in The Kingdom.

If you listen, He will speak.
